After a restless night of sleeping in pools of our own sweat, Eddie and I rose with the sun anxious to get "home". Calm winds and flat roads allowed the first 25 miles to be east but the wind picked up from the NE, slowing us down a bit but we were in high spirits. Eddie's mom met us in the driveway followed by Frankie. Before we knew it, we were showered and full of mul naeng myon. Within the first 2 hours, I managed to gain 4 lbs. Ice Cream, Gal Bi Tang, and shrimp tempura, mmmmmm…
The last stretch. I can't remember much of that day except my mom's excitement as she ran outside to greet us. I also remember that I had done some "damage" to my saddle butt because of all the heat and humidity but couldn't feel a thing until we got off our bikes. Home at last, we are home at last.
