Our home tonight is the city park in Kewanee. We got special permission from the Po-Po to stay here. We were told by Officer Brian Woods that they will be coming around a few times tonight to check in on us. I don't really think we have anything to worry about. Kewanee is an industrial town of nearly 16,000 with a ruf-tuf feel. The local kids that we met ranged from curious to hoodlum - reminds me of my hometown of Westbrook, ME. We need to take more pictures or Eddie's head is going to explode. We were arguing about it but I don't feel like arguing. 2 more days in the corn and hog belt then onto more corn and hog.
It seems people rarely venture away from their own towns. Maybe because the next town looks just like your own. What is the motivation to leave?
